I outran “lazy” for many, many years! It’s baked into our US culture and goes back generations. So you’re not alone. And the next question is, “why still the fear?” Maybe the goal isn’t even to alleviate the fear, just acknowledge it!

For me I would be viewed as being “un-valuable” and can easily be replaced. (As my name has “val” - oh the twist of it all!)
