If we’re following that model, your authentic self is not the one who decides to declare it your authentic self.
There are parts who love to pretend to be the authentic self. They know it will get attention. They want to be seen and heard.
Notice them. Embrace them. Smile at them.
They really want attention and that’s valid.
And if you back up from them and their voices…what else do you hear?
For me, when I stop listening for clear voices or words of wisdom, I hear so much.
