I’m very glad I recorded new videos while it was still “warm” last week.
Sending warm wishes your way if you’re in the cold weather with me!
Are you describing yourself in negative ways?
I’ve been noticing this in coaching clients the past few weeks.
(And I’m sure I’m doing a version of it on some topics too.)
These negative stories sound like this:
Yeah, I could have put more effort into that.
I’m so lazy.
I should have made different decisions in my twenties.
But we wouldn’t say these statements about someone else.
We’d give them the benefit of the doubt.
We’d recognize that there are systems at play that have affected their life decisions.
We’d recognize that there’s more going on than this one person’s willpower.
But when it’s about ourselves, we tear ourselves down.
We believe we have all the power and control.
That the responsibility of everything is up to us and it’s our fault.
So where are you writing a negative story right now?
Imagine you’re trying to sell me on the story of yourself and it’s a good one.
Paid subscribers, I’ll see you later today for January’s workshop time!
