Family dynamics can swing like a pendulum during the holidays between my young adult kids and their dad; and my independent 92 year old mom and my brother (her helper). I’m usually the first person who will be called in these groups to help mediate (!) My intention is to stay present in the moment one day at a time, one breath at a time. I scan my body several times a day to keep releasing tension patterns. Please share about your pranayama sessions! What type of breaths and how you may use them when you need them?

I love your intention, Valerie - amidst many family dynamics!

In the pranayama sessions, I'm still learning how the arc works. But we often have grounding breaths, energizing breaths, balancing breaths. You would recognize many of them from our other meditative practices. And I like how Eric sequences them into an arc that flows. I'll have to ask him if he teaches outside the Ompractice platform to groups. It would be fun to bring together my favorite people for a shared practice.
